Of the 14 books I have authored, co-authored, or edited
A New New Testament:
A Bible for the 21st Century Combining Traditional and Newly Discovered Texts
is the first one to be what publishers call “a trade book.” This means it is for a public audience by a major publisher that makes the book available in a wide variety of websites, bookstores, and promotional media.
I am learning a great deal by way of the many interviews and speaking gigs about
A New New Testament. One of the main reasons for putting this book together was to find out how this combination of the traditional New Testament with more engaging recent discoveries of early Christian documents might help people both with their spiritual practices and in thinking about the history of Christian beginnings. So I look forward to hearing more from folks that visit this website.
There are a number of websites that provide good introductions to this book. My favorites are at tanhocenter.org,or the one by the publisher (http://www.hmhbooks.com/anewnewtestament/) and the one with an interview with me found on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/New-Testament-Combining-Traditional-Discovered-ebook/dp/B008LQ1B44).
